To download files to your hard disk, right-mouseclick on the file which you want to download and select the "Save Target As..." (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As..." (Firefox browser) menu item. The name of this menu item varies from browser to browser, but should be similar to these.

You will then be presented with a "Save As" dialog box from which you must specify a location and filename for the file you are downloading. You may navigate to any directory on your computer to save the file but it is recommended that you keep the existing filename.

Once your file download has completed, you may navigate to the directory in which you saved the file to open it.
